Kayla currently is a CCOA (Canadian Certified Optometric Assistant) and has certificates for Microblepharoexfoliation as well as an education certificate in Myopia control lenses. Her mom, Sharanne, started working at Valley Vision Optometry when Kayla was four years old so Kayla grew up with us. She is inspired by seeing the difference we make in people’s lives- whether it’s from a new pair of glasses, helping them with their dry eye, or even reassuring them when they are having an eye emergency. 

Outside of work, Kayla has many talents and interests. When she was five, she was pretty sure she was going to be a musician when she grew up.  She plays saxophone, drums, and percussion and is learning guitar and bass guitar.  She also plays a lot of sports including fast pitch, slow pitch, and volleyball. You might see her trying her hand at darts these days, too!
