Dr. Golemba was born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan, where his dream of becoming an optometrist started at a young age. He pursued his passion by attending the University of Regina and later the University of Waterloo, which instilled in him a lifelong love for learning.

Dr. Golemba is married to Shannon, and together they have two children, Aiden and Sejal. Their family also includes two beloved dogs: Rosie, a pug, and Sophee, a pug-cocker spaniel cross.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Golemba enjoys a variety of activities, including motorcycling, cycling, surfing, snowboarding, and playing guitar. He finds inspiration and relaxation in these hobbies, which complement his dedicated work life.

His favorite movie is Forrest Gump, and his favourite book is Sapiens. These choices reflect his appreciation for both storytelling and insightful, thought-provoking literature.

At Valley Vision Optometry, Dr. Golemba is passionate about working in a long-established practice that serves multiple generations. He takes great pride in providing solutions to visual problems that others could not solve, leveraging his strong analytical abilities.

One of the biggest challenges Dr. Golemba has faced is delegating tasks effectively to manage his workload. To address this, he plans to implement “Run Like Clockwork” training for all team members to enhance their delegation skills.

Dr. Golemba’s advice to anyone interested in joining the Valley Vision Optometry team is to fully commit to the work when at the practice and to take time to be active in nature when not working. This balance, he believes, is key to both professional success and personal well-being.
