Vision Therapist and Myopia Counselor
Vision Therapist and Myopia Counselor works one-on-one with patients to develop their visual skills under the supervision of developmental optometrists. The myopia counselor acts as a liaison between the optometrist and the parents of children undergoing myopia management. The successful candidate will train under the guidance of our current vision therapist. You are looking for a rewarding career. Responsibilities:
- Managing the intake funnel and screening potential patients
- Carrying out performance testing
- Preparing reports
- Performing consultations with patients and caregivers
- Answering questions and following up with patients and caregivers
- Planning and delivering vision therapy sessions
- Meeting with the developmental optometrists to modify care
- Continuing education and re-evaluation of care delivery
- Sanitize, sterilize, and prepare the therapy room to office standards.
Vision Therapist and Myopia Counselor Requirements:
Post-secondary education is an asset.
