“Be fearlessly authentic; bravely be you.”
Krystal, Director of Specialty Services at LowVisionBC and Everlook Myopia Management, is from the scenic communities of Nanaimo and Salmon Arm. She has always had diverse interests, once dreaming of becoming both an optometrist and an Egyptologist. Today, she is a proud mother of three teenagers, sharing her life with a dog and a cat. In her free time, she enjoys mountain biking, swimming, and traveling.
Krystal brings years of experience as an eye care nurse. She was drawn to Valley Vision Optometry for its family-owned atmosphere and beautiful facility. Her strong organizational skills and talent for motivating and supporting her team make her an invaluable asset. Despite the fast-paced nature of the work, she thrives in this dynamic and supportive environment. Her advice to new team members is to embrace the energy of the workplace. It’s a dynamic environment filled with challenges. But it also offers plenty of opportunities for growth..
As the Director of Specialty Services at LowVisionBC and Everlook Myopia Management, Krystal combines 15 years of nursing experience with advanced training in optometric care. Krystal is a certified Canadian Optometric Assistant and a Certified Myopia Navigator. She is passionate about helping children manage progressive myopia but also enjoys supporting people of all ages with low vision needs. Based in Port Alberni, Krystal is deeply rooted in British Columbia’s vibrant communities, bringing a sharp mind, warm heart, and just enough humor to her work.
