Dr. Jackson

Dr. Jackson is an optometrist from Victoria, BC. She initially aspired to be an actor, but her passion for eye care ultimately led her to optometry. She is happily married and has a son who is almost 18 months old. Outside of her work, Dr. Jackson enjoys an active lifestyle. She enjoys hiking, yoga, softball, camping, motorcycle riding, traveling, and cooking delicious meals. Her two big, playful dogs—a Husky and a German Shepherd—are constant companions.
An avid reader, Dr. Jackson considers herself a bookworm. Some of her favorite books include The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Wild, A Man Called Ove, The Book of Longings, and The Alice Network. She studied kinesiology at the University of Victoria. And, she received her optometry degree from the University of Waterloo. To stay current in her field, Dr. Jackson completes over 20 hours of continuing education every year
Dr. Jackson’s diverse academic background has prepared her well for her career in optometry. A combination of her optometry training and kinesiology studies gave her the skills she needed to offer high-quality care to patients. Early experiences working with a variety of people have also shaped her compassionate approach to patient care.
Dr. Golemba’s forward-thinking vision at Valley Vision Optometry drew her to its commitment to provide high-quality care and continuous technological advancements. Along with finding creative solutions for her patients, Dr. Jackson also brings enthusiasm, energy, and positivity to the team.
One of the most significant challenges she has faced since joining Valley Vision is balancing her professional life with the demands of raising a young child. She appreciates the flexibility and support from her colleagues, which helps her manage her time effectively.
