Pam joins us on Monday as our latest extern at Valley Vision Optometry.
Pam was born and raised in Burlington, Ontario. She has earned both a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and a Master of Science degree in Environmental Science and Toxicology from the University of Guelph. She is currently attending the University of Waterloo School of Optometry. This is Pam’s second clinical rotation, having completed her first this past summer at the University of Waterloo Optometry Clinic, where she gained experience in all facets of optometric care, including ocular disease, myopia control, and general primary care.
As an extern, she hopes to gain more confidence in diagnosing and managing disease and improve her efficiency in clinical and counselling skills. She’s also interested in gaining business management skills while here.
Pam enjoys adventuring and exploring outdoors in her spare time, so you may see her cycling around Port Alberni to check out hiking trails. She also loves camping, yoga, and spending time with her miniature dachshund, Gus, who will be periodically visiting her on the Island this fall. She is always looking for new areas to explore and enjoys learning from people she meets. Pam is looking forward to getting to know the community of Port Alberni.
She with be practicing alongside Dr. Golemba and is committed to providing the best eye care experience for you. If you have any questions or would like to make an appointment, please call (250) 724-0933.
