Katerina was born and raised in the small francophone town of Bonnyville, Alberta where she fell in love with optometry while working as an optical technician throughout her summers in high school.
She attended undergraduate studies at MacEwan University in Edmonton, Alberta before moving to Oregon where she completed her Bachelor of Vision Science at Pacific University College of Optometry. During her doctorate studies at Pacific University, Katerina was a member of the Canadian Optometric Student Association, the Ocular Disease Club and served as a TA in Neuroanatomy. She has completed a clinical rotation at the Portland VA where she provided eye care to Veterans and their family members. She has also completed a surgical rotation at the Tayani Institute in San Clemente, California.
In her free time, Katerina enjoys exploring different areas, relaxing with a good mystery novel, and practicing her ukulele. After graduation, she looks forward to returning to a small rural community in Alberta or BC in order to provide eye care to the members of the community.
She will be practicing alongside Drs Golemba, Dhesi, and Jackson this fall/winter and is committed to providing the best eye care experience for you. If you have any questions or would like to make an appointment, please call (250) 724-0933.
